So Yesterday we drove pretty much all day. About 6ish hours. But, we did stop at the 2nd oldest abbey in the UK, built by William the Conqueror's brother. Eventually, we made it to Cardiff, Wales. In my opinion, Cardiff is basically Baltimore, just on the other side of the pond. And a little bit older too... Anyway, the next morning, we had breakie provided at the Hostel and then we were off to church at Christchurch, the SovGrace church in Wales. Pete Greisely preached an excellent sermon, there were 4 baptisms, and a BBQ afterwards. Another cool thing about it was that the youth group from the Arch Church in Germany was there and we'll be going to their church next Sunday. Then we were off to the city of Bath - of Jane Austen fame. There, we saw the Roman Baths which are the best preserved in the Roman world.
Today can only be described as WICKED
Reason #1: Rushing from Bath to London to get the car turned in on time.
Reason #2: Getting lost on the Tube (London's Metro system)
Reason #3: Hauling a 50Lbs. suitcase does a number on your arm
Reason #4: I'm in London period which is wicked awesome
Reason #5: I just saw the show by the same name. IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
Enough said. Let me just say it was the highlight of my day. Maybe my life. Naw, Just kidding. but it was awesome. My new fav. Musical.
Well, 2morrow we're going to be touring London before getting on a ferry that will take us to Amsterdam and then driving to Germany to visit our friends there. So I have no idea what internet will be like over there but i'll do my best to keep you posted.
See you all in a few weeks!
Chris
Holy snap... if the second oldest abbey was built by the brother of William the conqueror... just how old is the oldest one?? That's insane.
ReplyDeleteChris, just think; you'll be buff(er?) from carrying all the suitcases. :D
Well, you got to see Wicked. What Is This Feeling? Probably vague jealousy of your getting to see the show. Sounds like you had fun on your One Short Day in London (although you'll have been there today as well, Thank Goodness.) Have even more fun, please, For Good!
